​I'm Claire Mercado-Obias.
​I'm a creative living in the USA and this website is a showcase of my work.

I am a professional baker.
​I earned my Pastry and Baking Arts diploma in 2016 at the Institute of Culinary Education and I have worked as a pastry cook at Bouchon Bakery in New York City.
   
I style food for the camera.
I studied under New York-based food stylist Delores Custer at The New School, Meg Buchsbaum at the Institute of Culinary Education, and I was an apprentice to Filipino culinary historian and food stylist, Nancy Reyes-Lumen. My experience include styling for TV commercials, cooking shows, and many print materials.

I write stories.                      
I am a lifestyle writer. Food, travel, weekend entertaining, how-to  craft tutorials, home organization, book reviews, and personal success stories are topics that get me excited to put pen on paper. I'm a regular contributor to Positively Filipino. 

I take photos.
Pictures accompany all the articles I write. A great package deal, don't you think?

I'm a passionate crafter.
I like to immerse myself in all kinds of crafts! The projects I made have appeared in my own newspaper and magazine columns. You'll find my  current crafty endeavors on the blog and on YouTube.
